Hove

Hove is a seaside town in East Sussex. It adjoins Brighton to the west, and the two towns are now combined as the City of Brighton and Hove.
LGBT history
Edward Carpenter was born in Hove in 1844, and Roger Quilter was born there in 1877. Georgina Somerset had a dental practice there for a while.
Queer Heritage South in Brighton & Hove received £1.25 million for its pioneering Queer Heritage South: Live Archive project, which will create a digital archive, host cultural events, and deliver a major exhibition in 2027, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in the UK.
