The Anglican Communion is the world-wide body of Anglican churches, in communion with the Church of England. It is the third largest Christian communion in the world, after the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. The Archbishop of Canterbury is recognised as first among equals of the bishops of the Anglican Communion. The Lambeth Conference, held every ten years, brings the bishops of the Anglican Communion together.

The Communion includes 38 provinces worldwide, those in the UK and Ireland being:
