Wallasey is a town in the borough of Wirral, Merseyside, at the north-eastern corner of the Wirral peninsula. It includes the New Brighton seaside resort.

LGBT history

There was a New Brighton CHE Group at one time.

In 1983 Merseyside Police raided the Albion sauna in New Brighton and arrested a number of men aged between 17 to 60 years of age. The owner of the sauna was subsequently convicted of running a brothel.

Lionel Blue had a shared house in Wallasey where he liked to spend long weekends. Angela Eagle is MP for Wallasey.
