IARS (Independent Academic Research Studies) is a charity based in Waterloo Road, South London. It was set up informally in 2001 by Dr Theo Gavrielides as a youth-led social policy think-tank to empower and give a voice to young people.[1] The IARS International Institute was formally registered in 2005.[2]It was a member of the LGBT Consortium in 2012[3] and re-joined in 2017.
