Ted Brown (Theodore Brown) is a black gay activist.
As an American-born teenager living in the UK he had been cofnronted with racism, and increasingly became aware of homophobia. At the age of 19 he became aware of GLF. He lived in one of the GLF communes, where he met his partner Noel.[1]
Ted Brown was the founder of Black Lesbians and Gays Against Media Homophobia.
He was featured in the film Beyond Labels: Black & Gay in the UK, directed by Jaime Sylla for GMFA which premiered at the London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival 2010.[2]
