The Metro Centre is an LGBT centre in Greenwich, South-East London. It was founded in 1986, originally as the Greenwich Lesbian and Gay Centre in Bowater Road, Charlton. In 1997 the centre moved to Greenwich High Road. In 2008 Metro merged with the Harbour Trust, providing HIV-related services to people of African descent.The Metro Centre promote the Metro 50+ Group for older LGB people.
In January 2013 the Metro Centre moved to new premises within Greenwich.
The Metro Charity Organisation now runs the centre. In 2020, using Heritage Lottery money, the charity produced a short film called 'This is Our Story' about the history of Gay and Lesbian Rights in Greenwich. Metro Charity extends beyond Greenwich, including supporting people with HIV in Wandsworth.
