Not to be confused with the jazz saxophonist of the same name.

Alan Wakeman (1936–2015) was a writer and gay activist. He was active in GLF and one of the founders of Gay Sweatshop.

He was born in Catford, South London^[1] and grew up in Coulsdon, Surrey.^[2]
