The London Gay Reading Group was a reading group founded in 2001 and initially meeting at the Oak Bar on Green Lanes in Newington. Subsequently it has met monthly in central London.[1]A number of authors have come to the group, including Laurence Brown, Marion Husband, Stella Duffy, Alan Sheridan, V G Lee, Rex Batten, Mikey Walsh, Sarah Waters, Tom Rob Smith, Ned Beauman, Michael Arditti, Jackie Kay, Bethan Roberts, Madeline Miller, Meg Rosoff, Neil McKenna, Damian Barr and Jonathan Harvey.
The group has published a list of the books it has read from 2001 to 2014.[2]
The group has co-operated with the Open University on a research project.[3]
