The Trans Resource and Empowerment Centre (TREC) is based in central Manchester and provides a wide range of programming and empowerment activities for the Trans community in a safe and accessible space, with activities centred on themes of Body and Health, Policy and Law, Creativity and Well-Being, Culture and Community, Safety, and Networking.
The centre was launched in November 2009.[1]
TREC sessions run monthly, normally at the Lesbian and Gay Foundation.
Between November 2009 and July 2011, TREC piloted a community resource, featuring a range of keynote speeches, presentations, workshops and group activities.[2]
