Pope Joan

Pope Joan
Pope Joan according to legend was a woman who disguised herself as a man and was elected Pope in the 850s. She is sometimes said to have been born or lived in Wimborne Minster, Dorset.[1] The story is now generally thought to be without foundation.[2]
