King's Cross Station
King's Cross is an area of central London, known for the King's Cross railway station.

Part of the area, around St Pancras Station, is sometimes referred to as St Pancras, which was also the name of the larger metropolitan borough.

LGBT history

Housmans Bookshop at 5 Caledonian Road housed the Gay Liberation Front and Gay Switchboard in the past. The Central Station (previously known as the Prince Albert) in Wharfdale Road is a well-known gay pub, and London Friend has its headquarters in Caledonian Road. The Kings Cross Steelers rugby club take their name from having originally met in the Central Station.

Gay London, 1997 lists 23 establishments in Islington and King's Cross.
