Ickworth is a small parish in the St Edmundsbury Borough of Suffolk. It contains a church and the National Trust property Ickworth House but there is little in the way of a village.
Ickworth House, built between 1795 and 1829, was the ancestral seat of the Hervey family. John Hervey, second Baron Hervey, is buried in the family vault in the church, as is John Hervey, 7th Marquess of Bristol, who was born at Ickworth House and spent much of his life there, but sold the remaining wing to the National Trust in 1998, the main part of the house having gone to the National Trust in lieu of death duties in 1956.
